Weekly Update 6/22/16

Off

Greetings Life Community!

I’d like to begin this update by saying thank you for allowing myself and my family to have a wonderful vacation last week.  It was a time of much needed rest.  I am also very thankful for Carl Cole, one of our LCC deacons, for filling the pulpit and for teaching during Summer Bible Study.

Next week marks the beginning of our annual Vacation Bible School.  This year the theme is “SUBMERGED” and it’s going to be awesome.  The VBS team has done a great job with decorating, organizing, recruiting, and planning.  We will be hosting the Life Community Vacation Bible School at the facilities of Hall Street Baptist Church.

If you have not signed your child up for VBS you can do so online by following this sign up link:

Dates: June 27, 28, 29, 30
Times: 6 PM – 8 PM

I hope you pray, support, bring your kids, and invite other children to come and participate in this wonderful outreach event!  It’s going to be awesome.

A few quick notes:

Summer Bible Study is in full swing.  It meets on Tuesday nights at the facilities of Hall Street Baptist in their church fellowship hall (down stairs). We are currently studying “Spiritual Disciplines” and how they help us grow.  SBS starts at 6:30 every Tuesday night during the summer.   (There will be no SBS during VBS)

This has been a summer of Missions with Leslie and Jarrod McCarty traveling to South Dakota and Donna Ray traveling to Haiti. Remember that the New York City Team will be leaving in July to minister with the Metro City Church in Brooklyn with a Vacation Bible School.  Please keep them in your prayers.

Our annual Growth Campaign is a wonderful time of revival each year.  We spend 6 weeks discussing a Spiritually challenging topic in the pulpit, reinforcing them in life groups, setting goals, breaking records, and turning our hearts back to God.  This year the campaign will launch in late August. This upcoming Sunday I will be announcing our 2016 Campaign Team!  Very excitied.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning.  Let’s pray for a great day on Sunday.  Invite a friend and expect for God to show up!

In Christ
