LCC Weekly Update 3-7-16
Greetings Life Community Church,
I want to start today’s email by welcoming The Biggs family into the fellowship of Life Community. We are incredibly thankful for their decision to unite with Life Community. We pray for this sweet family as they serve The Lord and help strengthen the ministry of Life Community Church. We welcome them!
I hope this week has already began on a good note for you. It was a good day at Life Community yesterday as we sensed God’s Spirit among us. Tonight (Monday the 7th) will be our First Monday prayer service conducted at Wing Ave Baptist Church at 6:30pm. I want to encourage you to attend tonight. We pray for all the requests offered throughout the month and we pray for God’ will and direction in our ministries. This is the heart beat of Life Community, so I hope you can make it out tonight.
I pray that this serious on marriage and family has been one that is encouraging to singles, the married, and those who have experienced divorce. My prayer is that God will teach all of us what it means to go deeper in our marriages or what to look for in a marriage.
Yesterday we talked about “financing your marriage”, and God’s plan for our personal finances. I know we all struggle in this area, but God gives us plan in His scripture because He loves us. To help the families of Life Community we are offering Financial Peace classes beginning in April. You can sign up for this class by using our website and getting registered for it. The cost of the class is $93 per couple. This is the price set by the Dave Ramsey group and not us. When you order sign up on the website The Ramsey group will mail you your kit and you will also receive a life long membership. Life Community is not profiting any of this. Life Group Signups started yesterday at Church. Be praying about which Life Group is the best fit for you.
As noted in your bulletin yesterday there is a lot going on: I do want to highlight that the New York City Mission Team will be conducting a chicken cook to help raise money for their transportation to NYC. The money will go to purchase vans. They will need your help in getting people to come and purchase chickens. If you feel lead of the Lord to help with their van rentals, please let me know as God may lay it on someone’s heart.
It’s exciting to see what God is doing in our midst. Let’s keep praying for His Spirit and His direction in our congregation!
