Hope you’re great….I’ll cut straight to the chase on this weekly update. Check out what’s coming up and make sure to mark your calendar for it!
Holiday Dinner this upcoming Saturday at 5pm! – Make sure to bring plenty of food as we will be inviting the neighborhood to fellowship with us. This will be a great opportunity to get to know our community as we show the love of Jesus.
Canvassing for Holiday Dinner- Tomorrow, Friday the 9th, we will be gathering at Life Community at 3:30 to canvass the community to let them know about the Holiday Dinner. If you are free we could use you. This will also help us get face to face with our neighbors too.
Don’t forget to sign up for the next season of serving. We want to encourage everyone to play a role in serving and supporting the church. You can sign up online by clicking here.
Continue to pray about your role in the Christmas offering- Remember 100% of this offering will go outside of LCC. 25% to the International Mission Board for foreign missionaries, 25% to the North American Mission Board for Church Planting efforts in the USA, 25% to Sunrise Children’s service to help with adoption and foster care, and 25% to our local Care Net to help Mothers in need. We are challenging you to match your most expensive present that you are giving with your Christmas gift for the Christmas Offering. This year’s goal is $6,000, the highest goal we have ever set! (Online giving for the Christmas Offering is available on the giving section of our website. Enter in your donation, and then look for the pull tab menu and make sure you select “Christmas Offering” instead of general budget.)
Plan on attending the annual Christmas Eve service at 5pm. We will place our Christmas Offering in the manger and will also partake of The Lord’s Supper. We will also be having a Christmas morning service at the regular time of 11:00 am. The service will consist of our Christmas choir and message and will last for about 45 minutes.
Remember that we will be participating in the “TIM TEBOW NIGHT TO SHINE” event on Valentines Day weekend. Make sure you spread the word that we will be hosting this prom event for people with special needs. We are now signing up both attendants and volunteers on our website. If you know of a person who would like to attend please get them registered (space is limited and cost is free). Click here to serve or register an attendant.
A New round of Financial Peace University will be beginning on January 22nd. This Dave Ramsey course on getting out of debt is powerful! Many people have paid off debt and learned to organize their finances for success. Make sure you get registered for FPU, classes will be held on Sunday night.
