Christmas Season is Coming (weekly update Nov. 30)

Off

Greetings Life Community.

The Christmas season has officially begun! Last sunday marked the beginning of the The Advent Season (the traditional four weeks that lead to Christmas). Each week we will be lighting one candle to remind us of what Christ did when he became man over 2,000 years ago. Last Sunday the Nelson family reminded us about HOPE as they lit the candle.

With Christmas coming I want to take a few moments to remind you of our annual Christmas Offering. This is our one BIG offering that we do every year. 100% of this offering leaves Life Community Church and will go to various ministries and missions. 25% will go to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering to support International Mission Board Missionaries, 25% will go to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering to support North American Mission Board Church planting, 25% will go to Sunrise Children’s services to support local Adoption and Foster care, and the remaining 25% will go to our local Care-Net which supports and helps expecting mothers in crisis.

The offering will be received on Christmas Eve during our Christmas service. We will also have online giving available as well (Simply go to the giving section of our website, enter in your donation, and when you are redirected to the next page make sure that you change the pull down tab from General offering to Christmas Offering).

I would like to challenge you to match the most expensive gift you are giving this year to the Christmas offering. Our goal is $6,000 and I believe, by God’s grace, we can accomplish this for missions and for our children in our community. Remember; 100% of this offering leaves Life Community, we do not keep any of it. We just want to help people and spread the word. Connecting, Caring, and Changing.
Don’t forget Life Groups and Kids Life is back on for tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30 at the church facilities.
Class 101 is this Sunday at 2:45 for people considering uniting with the church, wanting to know more about Life Community, or who are interested in learning what Christianity is all about.

God Bless
