5-2-16 Life Community Update

Greetings Life Community!

A wonderful day yesterday!  We are excited for Blake Bosley as he accepted Jesus and is coming for Baptism!  We will baptize Blake on June 5^th, maybe you would like to join Blake and be baptized yourself.  I want to invite you to be baptized if you never have!  We celebrate with Brooke and Brett for Blake’s decision.

It’s been a few weeks since we have sent out an update.  This was due to the move of our ministry center and the lack of internet.  Phone lines were also down for a while too, so thanks for being patient with us during our transition.  We are now in the new ministry center and fully operational.  I would like to think everybody who has contributed to piecing this place together.  The new ministry center is a testimony to the power of prayer.  Our church outlined a three point strategy

1. A Larger Ministry
2. An Associate Pastor of Students
3. Purchasing of Land

We felt like God was telling us to do these “ONE AT A TIME”.  So we identified a larger ministry center was what needed to come first.  We prayed at our family meeting, specifically, for a larger ministry center and God gave us one the next week!  Praise The Lord!  We should all be reminded that we can bring our requests before God, ask Him, wait for Him, and expect Him to move in his time and in his way.

Speaking of prayer, tonight (Monday May 2^nd) we will be having our “FIRST MONDAY PRAYER SERVICE” at Wing Avenue Baptist Church.  I invite you to come and pray with us this evening.

A few quick updates

• Child Dedication- This Sunday will be Mothers Day and when we annually dedicate children to The Lord. If you have not dedicated your child and would like to, we invite you to come and to invite your family to be with you.  If you have not told the church yet, please send me back an email with your name and your childs name
• THE BBQ Fest will be held on May 13^th-14^th. We will be hosting a BBQ FEST COOKING TEAM and giving all our proceeds to “Sunrise Children’s Services”.  This will be an incredible event for our church and we are going to need lots of hands.  So make sure you play a role in it.
• Vacation Bible School will be held on June 26-20. Pray about volunteering
• Jarrod and Leslie McCarty are assembling a team to go to South Dakota to work with Native Americans (in connection with Pleasant Grove Baptist). If you are interested please shoot me back an email for more info
• The Silent Auction for Relay for life will continue on till May 15^th
• Baptism Service on June 5^th, after Sunday AM service
