Weekly Update 9/28/16

Off

Greetings Life Community,

What a tremendous day we had last Sunday!  It was wonderful to see four people be baptized and two people unite with the church.  We would like to welcome Whitney and Greer Mooreman and Bethany Hatfield to the Life Community Family.  We are also thankful for the baptisms of Maddie Gray, Carson Cole, Greer Mooreman, and Billy Hardest.

Last Sunday marked the last message in our Spiritual Growth Campaign.  This week, life groups will be wrapping up the 40 Day journey as they discuss what God has done.  The campaign will come to a close with our celebration event on Saturday at 4pm.  There will be music, food, and a time of testimony.  This event is for the whole church so we courage you all to come to the Hall Street facility and have a great time.  We will give God praise for all He did during this time of revival in our church.

If you noticed in the program on Sunday morning, we will be having a special called Family meeting after the services on Sunday morning.  We are having to do another special call to prepare for our transition into the Hall street.  This special call will be to amend the current budget, create a Facility Vision and Planning Team, and to approve the  purchase of several items needed for the transition (possibly including some advertising, so the community will know we are here).  This meeting will attempt to be brief and directly after the Sunday morning service.

The creation of the Facility Vision and Planning Team will be coming from our Nominating Team.  This team’s purpose will be to plan and foresee how the new facility will be best used for Life Community.  They will work closely with me and will develop a strategic plan for usage, design, and the overall transition.  I feel this will be a very good team to help with the transition of our church.

Also, begin praying for our Associate Pastor Search Team and our Night to Shine Team.  Even though the gifting of the facility is a very exciting adventure, we don’t want to forget two amazing things that are happening in our church.  One of those is the beginning of the process to hire our Associate Pastor of Students and the upcoming Night to Shine Event (an amazing prom like experience for people who have special needs).  So let’s keep both of these teams in our prayers and be excited for all that is upcoming.

As Life Groups will be finishing up their study on the “SIGNS OF LIFE”, all the groups will be jumping into a new Bible study right after it is over.  So if you are in a life group, there will be a continued follow up for you to finish out this semester.

Let’s keep praying for God’s Spirit to move and for our hearts to be open to His move.

God Bless
