LCC Update 5/18/17
Greetings Life Community,
1 year ago today Life Community Church experienced the fire at the ministry center that changed our course. At the time we were devastated, crushed, filled with anxiety and despair. We pondered why God would allow a fire to happen in that facility? 1 year later, we reflect and we see how God used that fire to bring us into a facility of our own, grow us closer together, refine our mission and vision, and give us a neighborhood that needs Christ. I said it one year ago, when I wrote it in the ash, and i’ll say it again…
“God is still good”

I am so thankful for how God is moving in our church. We have seen lots of baptisms over the past few weeks and several uniting with the church. It is a wonderful time of growth. Let’s keep praying that God helps us to be a connecting, caring, and changing church. Here are a few updates.
CLASS 501 L.I.F.E. – this sunday at 5pm. If you have made the commitments from class 101-401 I want to encourage you to come out to CLASS 501 L.I.F.E. (Leadership In Faith and Encouragement)
Special Call Family meeting this Sunday- we are going to have a quick special call family meeting, after the service (as listed in the program last week) in regards to donating the larger bus and canopy to another church that is in need. We have been blessed with so much and the Church Council wants to encourage everyone to be supportive in being a blessing since we have been blessed. (There will also be another special call on June 11th to determine re-sealing and re-striping the parking lot; which is in serious need of mainteance)
Men’s Meeting May 28th @ 6pm
Vacation Bible School IS COMING! July 9-13- Jayme Williams is this year’s director and we so are excited in engaging our children for this 5 evening event for kids. There will be games, snacks, bible lessons, and lots of fun! It is my prayer that ever member of the church is actively engaged in .
Mission Fundraiser for NYC this saturday- The NYC team will be selling pork burgers on the corner of 54 at the Marathon. Stop by and grab a burger to help them raise money for vans, gas, and supplies.
Relay for Life this Saturday!- I would like to say thank you to all those who have done an excellent job in supporting relay for life through our church. Thank you for caring for our community.
Summer Bible Study is coming- June 14th will be the launch of our annual Summer Bible Study, where Life Groups take a small break and I teach to the general church. I hope you plan on coming on Wednesday nights.
Let’s keep praying that God will guide us, lead us, use us, and meet our needs for His glory.
