LCC Weekly Update 12/17-15
Greetings Life Community,
I would like to begin today’s email by saying thank you to our Fellowship Team for hosting our annual Christmas Dinner last Sunday night. It was truly a wonderful night and we were all blessed. I am also thankful for all those who were baptized on Sunday night. We were able to baptize three people (OUTSIDE!) in December! I am thankful for all those who have made the decision to follow Christ.
Keep in mind that this upcoming Sunday will be the children’s Christmas presentation. Make sure to invite friends and family as they perform their Christmas songs. I am so thankful for all the adults who have helped with each group getting this ready. I will also be presenting the Gospel on Sunday morning, so if you have a lost loved one this is a great time to get them to church.
The Christmas Eve service will be another great time to invite your loved ones as well. It will be held at 5pm on Christmas eve night. The service will last no longer than one our and will be held at the facilities of Apoolo Heights Baptist church on Tamarack rd (down the street from Apollo High School).
We will also be receiving our annual Christmas offering during the Christmas Eve service. We have set a goal for $5,000 for our Christmas offering. We will come forward during the communion service and have the opportunity to place our offering in the cradle (with our family). We will have giving envelopes available this Sunday and at the Christmas Eve service. 100% of this offering will leave Life Community to help mission work. If you are not able to attend the Christmas Eve service we will have an opportunity available on Sunday morning for those that would like to give with their family. We also have online options available to give to the Christmas offering through our website

This is a little spur of the moment, but our outreach team has decided to bless the community of Owensboro in a unique way This Friday (December 18th). The first 100 cars through the Christmas lights at Panther Creek park will be paid for by Life Community Church. If you are a member of LCC we ask that you don’t utilize this for yourself, but to tell a friend or a loved one about it that does not know the Lord. This is intended to bless the community and is one of the many ways that we want to give back to the community we live in. That will be tomorrow night (the 18th).
Finally, we are signing people up for our season of serving. If you have not signed up yet, please do so. You can use our online feature to sign up or use guest services on Sunday morning.
