Weekly Update: 2/24/14
Greetings Life Community!
I wanted to touch base with you today to let you know that I will be attending the Kentucky Baptist Convention’s “Evangelism Conference” today and tomorrow in Elizabethtown. This annual conference is a great resource to learn more about Evangelism (telling other people about Jesus). I’m hoping to gain some great tools to help our church press forward in engaging our community.
This upcoming Saturday we will be having our Mission Trip Fundraiser to New York City. We will be selling chickens and ribs which will be picked up on the corner of 14th and JR. In preparation for the fundraiser many of you have presold chickens. Thank you for helping out. If you did not turn in your amount of chickens or ribs that are ordered please contact me today through phone, text, (2703140260) or email me. We will need a count asap. Thank you to all who helped with this fundraise, I believe more will be for sell on that day.
We are also in need of someone who has a flatbed trailer who would be willing to pick up some fire wood for us on Friday. If you can help let me know.
I am very excited about what God is doing in our church. My prayer is that we will be a connecting, caring, and changing church. I believe you guys are doing a great job at fulfilling this the last two Sundays. We have seen new faces come on Friend and Family Day and even come back last Sunday. Keep this fervor for people. Christ loves people and he is using you to show the love of Christ.
It also exciting to see how God is using our Life Groups. We are truly connecting to each other and to Christ in these groups. If you are not part one I encourage you to be involved. Likewises I encourage our children to attend TEAM KID on Sunday night. We now have Team kids for all ages (including the little ones) and youth group for our teens. It begins on Sunday nights @ 6:30.
