Weekly Update: 10/1/13

I trust that everybody survived their Monday and that this week is already a blessed week for you.

Our Fall Spiritual Growth Campaign is in full swing. I am excited to see God opening up hearts and minds to their Biblical purposes in life.  So far we have discussed that God has a call for everyone, They were planned for God’s Pleasure, and they were Formed for God’s family.  There are still two more Biblical purposes that we will explore in the upcoming next two Sundays.

Our groups are also digging deeper into this through their study and the readings of the books.  If you are in a group I encourage you to stick with your reading and stick with your group.  The readings really are critical to helping you understand your biblical purpose as well as a community of support to surround you.  You don’t want to miss what God has for you.

I am also excited to see good crowds on Sunday mornings during this campaign.  Every sunday there are new faces and more people.  We praise God for this.  Keep inviting, praying, and investing into your friends that don’t have a church home.  LCC might just be the place for them and more importantly they may come to know Christ.

We are on the road to chartering and constituting and we are getting closer everyday.  As we give and invite we become closer to self-sufficiency.  I also want to encourage you to keep our church in your prayers.  As a new church start we need to always be asking God’s blessing on our congregation; specifically ask for God to save people as we invite our lost loved ones and friends to church.
