Life Community Weekly Update 2/4/16
Greetings Life Community Church,
I wanted to begin this week’s update by congratulating Christy Turnham on her baptism last Sunday. We rejoice with her and her family as she went on the record as a Christ follower and a Christian. Christy comes to my life group which meets in my home on Tuesday and it has been wonderful to get to know her and study the word of God with her. We are so excited for what God is doing in her life.
This upcoming Sunday I will be concluding the series “UPDATE MY STATUS”. Throughout this series we have learned that Jesus Christ brings great change to our lives
- Before we can experience life change we must make a decision to follow Him (he called the fishermen to fish for people)
- The change also extends into our networks and friendship (He used Matthew to win his friends to Jesus)
- Our actions reflect our life change (Zach, the wee little man, proved his salvation through his actions)
- Sadly, our life change will not always be received with joy from others (The Blind Man was rejected even though he was blessed)

We conclude the series this weekend with a final message on the raising of Lazarus. I hope this series has encouraged you to know that life change is possible and that it comes only through Jesus Christ! Remember what Jesus said in Rev 21:5 “Behold I make all things new!” And he truly does!
A few quick updates
- I would like to bring attention our new Church Calendar Page located on our website. Our Admin Assitant, Mrs. Mary Thompson will be updating this regularly. There is a feature on the church calendar that allows you to download the calendar to your Ical on your Iphone or other smart phone devices. - The Youth Valentines Day Dinner will be held this Saturday. The youth of Life Community Church are hosting an all you can eat Sweetheart Spaghetti Dinner this Saturday, Feb. 6. Serving begins at 6 pm. Please come out and support our youth. All money raised goes toward the cost of Summer Camp. Please come out, enjoy a great dinner, and help our youth grow in their walk with Christ. Everyone is invited! Please feel free to share this. Remember this event will be for adults and the youth will serve them.
- Friend and Family Day 2016 will be held on February 14th, Valentines Day! Make sure you invite your friends and family as we begin a new series “Building a Marriage”. This big days serve as great jumping on points for those that don’t go to church or who may feel nervous or uncomfortable coming to church. God can use this days in a great way! So I challenge you to invite your friends and family to come with you on that day.
