LCC Weekly Update 11/10/14
Good morning LCC,
Wanted to touch base with everyone this week a little early due to the Kentucky Baptist Convention. The convention will be held in Bowling Green this year at the Living Hope Baptist Church. I will be going down today for the Kentucky Baptist Pastor’s conference and then staying over for the convention on Tuesday. This convention will be very special for the people of Life Community, as we will be recognized as a Kentucky Baptist Church and accepted into the Convention. For all who can, we invite you to come and represent our church on Tuesday morning at Living Hope in Bowling Green, around 8:30am. You are free to stay for the rest of the convention to learn about all that the KBC s doing, but the main part will be just standing up when our church is recognized. Would love to have you if you can make it!
We had a fantastic day yesterday! We had a very well attended CLASS 101 yesterday with 10 people. Let’s pray for those 10 who went through CLASS 101, as they pray and consider if Life Community Church as their family and for any decisions made. As we move into the Thanksgiving season we want to remember to give praise to God always. As we learned yesterday it is so important that we remember who God is and all that God has done. We are also very thankful for our military men and women who are serving or country and the veterans who have served. I pray that we will pause and pray for all of them this upcoming veterans day.
We have rescheduled our chili cook off to THIS SATURDAY at 6:00pm at the Logsdon. We encourage you to “BRING THE HEAT!”. We will invite you to bring a pot of chili, enter it in the competition, and to be ready to eat and have a blast. We also encourage you to bring someone with you who may not attend Church or (more importantly) may not have a relationship with Christ. Our outreach team sponsors this event and it’s intended to not only a way to have a good time and fun, but to also be a connection event. Our last two chili cook offs have been a lot of fun, so make sure you plan on attending.
