LCC Update: 7/15/13

Greetings LCC,

It’s Monday morning and I’m back in the saddle.  My family and I took a much needed vacation.  We are feeling revived and refreshed (both physically and spiritually) from our time off.  We appreciate everyone being patient and respectful as we took our time off, as it helps both my wife and I better minister and lead our congregation for the long haul.   I am very grateful for my dear friend Shea Allen who filled the pulpit for me on Sunday.  Shea is a great guy who loves the Lord and has a strong calling on his life.  I am sure you were blessed as he delivered the word on Sunday morning.  I have already heard reports of the good job that he did.

A Couple of quick reminders:

Our Community Block Party will be this Saturday, from 4-7pm at the Heartland Park.  This will be a major event and we encourage all of the LCC folks to come out and help.  We are going to be blessed with a  mission team from Cynthianna Kentucky that is coming to help us with this event.  This church is one of our supporting partnering churches and they are very excited about coming to help.  They are contributing the major finances of this event so we want to show our gratitude by helping and serving at this event.  We will also use the block party as a way of showing practical love to our neighbors and also pre-registering kids for VBS.  VERY EXCITED!

Speaking of Vacation Bible School, are you ready to ride the Colossal Roller Coaster?  We encourage you to begin inviting children to our Vacation Bible School and encouraging them to come.  We also encourage everyone to be actively involved in VBS as it will be a major outreach of our church.  VBS will be next week, Monday-Thursday in the evenings at the Logsdon Center.    Let’s continually lift up our VBS in our prayers as we expect God to do a great work and show his salvation.

We also want to continue lifting up the families of Lanessa and Derek Landolt and the loss of their grandmother.  Likewise we want to pray for Michael Crum and his family as he lost his grandmother.  Let’s continue to show the love of Jesus Christ to these families through support and prayer.

Again, it’s great to be back.  May The Lord Bless you and Let’s pray for a great week!

God Bless

Pastor Kenny
