LCC UPDATE: 5/27/13

Greetings Life Community Church! I was so blessed by yesterday’s baptism! What a joy it was to be able to baptize two little ones who have professed faith in Christ Jesus! I am equally as happy that we were able to do it on site, allowing those who came to church to witness it. Unfortunately, during the cold winter months, we have to baptize indoors at other churches, which sometimes causes a lower crowd. Nevertheless those baptisms were equally as important and as much of a celebration! I’m just glad warm weather is here so we can now baptize outside. I’m also very grateful for Bro. Steve Rice filling in for Taran as she is away on leave. Continue to pray for my wife and our little family.

Lots of updates, please read all and mark your calendar: 101 and 201 Classes are approaching- Next Sunday, June 2nd, we will be hosting our monthly 101 class. This class covers four sections; Salvation, Our Structure, Our Statements, and Our Strategy. 101 is a great way to learn more about LCC, what LCC believes, and Where LCC is going. If you are thinking about joining the Church please attend this Sunday @ 2:45 at the Logsdon Center 2400 Friendship Dr. The Class will last a little over 2 hours, refreshments will be provided, and the class is necessary to take before joining the church. (You are not obligated to join LCC when taking the CLASS).

201 Is the follow up class for those who have completed 101. 201 covers spiritual growth and spiritual development for those who are already members. This will be our second 201 class that we have done to date, so I’m hoping for a good crowd. It will be conducted on June 9th @ 2:45 and will last about 3 hours. I encourage you to attend if you have not.

We are very blessed to have Mr. Adam Coleman, a Sophomore from Campbellsville University, as our Summer Intern. Adam will be helping out with our church plant during the summer. You will see him often, so get to know him. He’s a great guy!

This Sunday, we will be beginning a new sermon series entitled “Small Steps for Summer Growth”. I hope you invite some friends with you as we begin this series. We will talk about small tweaks to your life that will help you grow in your walk with God during the dry and thirsty months of summer.

On June 25th we will be taking anybody that would like to come, to Princeton Kentucky to serve on a one day mission project with HR MINISTRIES. HR Ministries is ministry that touches several people in the Western Kentucky. HR Ministries offers varieties of ministries that touch many people; everything from serving in a job corp, to ministering to inmates, to offering clothes closets and food pantries for those in Western Kentucky. Pray about joining us on that Saturday as we will get to meet Harrel Riley (the leader of the mission) and serve in their clothes closet that day. Check out their website here: http://www.hrministries.net/

Summer Life Groups are Coming! Make sure you sign up this Sunday for our Summer Small Groups which will begin on Sunday Night June 23rd. All groups will be meeting together at the Logsdon Center, on Sunday nights, as we learn how to Share our Faith through the study “SHARE JESUS WITHOUT FEAR”.

For further planning I encourage you to mark your calendars for July 20th for our Summer Block Party which will be our kick off for our Summer Vacation Bible School, July 22-25. If you are interested in helping out with VBS, please send me an email or sign up on Sunday. (We are also blessed to have a small team from Pleasant Green Baptist Church in Cynthianna Kentucky to come and help us the week of the Block Party). Very excited about what God is doing! Let’s keep inviting, praying, and asking God to do a great work in our Church!
