LCC Update 5/13/14
Greetings Life Community!
We had a beautiful service at Life Community Church on Sunday. We were thankful for all the child dedications and the great crowd we had. I hope that all ladies felt encouraged during the service. Whether they were a mother or a daughter, we are thankful for all of our ladies and all they do. Also thankful to have Mr. Adam Coleman back as our summer missionary/intern. He will be helping out a lot around the ministry center and on Sunday mornings.
If you were in our services on Sunday then you heard our big announcement. Life Community is planning on chartering on August 17th of 2014. As our church is growing and maturing it’s time for us to make that next step into chartering as an autonomous southern Baptist church. This is such an exciting time. I know many of you have to work on Sundays, and cannot be there every Sunday, but I am humbly asking all of our members to take off on August 17th to be at the chartering service. We want to make sure that all those who have joined the church in the “pre-chartered” days are able to come and be part of this historic worship service. It will take place in the afternoon (after our normal Sunday morning service) and will be held at Buck Creek Baptist. You have a chance to be part of history!
Life Groups are coming in June. Make sure you sign up for a summer group if you can. Life Groups help us fulfill our second part of our mission plan of being a “Caring” church. Life Group settings allow us to study the Bible together, learn from each other, and to care for one another’s needs. I hope you plan on attending. You can sign up online by following this link.

The Leaders of our Life Groups will have a meeting tonight at the Ministry Center at 6:30 to prepare for the upcoming season.
I want to announce that we will be having our annual “Vacation Bible School” on June 22nd-25th. Mrs. Amanda Beeler and Mrs. Aimee Keller will be coordinating our Vacation Bible School this year. We will be signing up volunteers this Sunday and following Sundays for VBS workers. It will be held at the Logsdon Center. I would like for every member of LCC to participate in some way in VBS (attending, serving, bringing food, canvassing, follow up etc.). It’s a great outreach.
Be in prayer for the NEW YORK Mission Team as they will be setting out on their mission trip the last partial week of June and first week of July. Keep them in prayers as they are preparing.
Also keep in mind that we will be beginning our new prayer service, simply called “LAST WEDNESDAY” on May 28th. This will be a monthly prayer service where we gather for prayer. It will begin at 6:30 and will be held every Last Wednesday of each month. Prayer will be critical for our church as we press forward with the vision that The Lord has for us and to become a “CONNECTING (to Jesus) CARING (for people), and CHANGING (the world)” kind of church.
