LCC Update: 3/10/14

Greetings LCC,

I hope this Monday finds you doing well.  This last Sunday marked the end of our “RELATIONSHIP RESCUE” sermon series.  We put a lot of preparation and prayer into this sermon series through our BIG DAY “FRIEND AND FAMILY DAY”.  I hope that many families were touched and encouraged that Jesus really can make a difference in their relationships.  As that sermon series concluded I am happy to announce our new sermon series beginning on Sunday; AT THE CROSSROAD (Living For Jesus or Living For Self?).  This new series will focus on the final days of Jesus as it leads us into Easter.  I encourage you to bring a friend with you to learn more about Jesus beginning this Sunday.

A few quick updates:

This Saturday LCC will be hosting a ladies “PINTEREST” Party at the Logsdon Center.  All ladies (young and old) are encouraged to attend.  All attending should bring a snack and their favorite recipe.  Also, this is a connecting event, so we encourage you to bring someone with you as your friend and guest.  Begins @ 4pm.

This upcoming Sunday evening, our LCC praise band has been invited to lead a night of worship through song at one of our sister Baptist churches “Glenville Baptist”.  The night of worship will begin @ 6:00 and the praise band invites you to make it out if you can.  Glenville Baptist is learning more about modern music and wanted a chance to hear it played live.  Very exciting that they invited LCC to play for them!  (Kids Life and Youth are still a go, unless otherwise notified).

CLASS 201 will also be offered this upcoming Sunday.  If you have completed CLASS 101 we encourage you to take the next step and attend CLASS 201.  201 teaches you how to study your Bible, how to pray, explains tithing, and explains life groups.  I really hope you can make it! It’ll begin @ 2:45 and last a couple of hours.  If you plan on attending please let me know.

I humbly ask you to continue to pray for your church as we press forward with what God has for us.  With the announcement of the closing of 7 Hills School we are proactive in pursuing our next location.  We are still waiting for details to finalize and hope to bring updates to the church soon.  We are trusting that God is very much in control and that he has this.  I do encourage you to pray for smooth and timely transactions.  I am anticipating everything to work out great…but let’s continue to pray.  As of now we are still meeting at 7 Hills until further announcement.

I also request prayer as I will be speaking tonight in Elizabethtown at the Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church for a revival service.

I believe God is doing a great work in our church.  He is using men and women who love him to truly make a difference.  As you continue on with this week think about who you can tell about Jesus…change the world!

Have a great week and if I can pray for you or be of any assistance please let me know
