LCC update 12/16/14

Off

Good afternoon LCC,

I would like to begin this weekly update by saying thank you to all those who made our first annual Christmas Dinner a success!  It was a wonderful evening and all of the food was fantastic!  We are all very grateful for the hard work of the fellowship team!  Good job guys!

We are also so happy for all of the Baptisms that took place on Sunday evening.  8 people were baptized!  We praise God for each and every one of them.  5 of the 8 people who were baptized were invited to church and discovered Jesus by people who (themselves) were saved and baptized at Life Community Church.  This is an excellent teaching lesson in reminding us of the power of the invitation.  I always want us to have a culture where there is always room for more.  Jesus died for the whole world and they are just waiting to hear that.  Always be praying and thinking about who you can invite to church.  Most importantly look for opportunities to tell them about Jesus Christ, to pray with them, and tell your story about what God is doing in your life.

A few updates:

We are still signing people up for our next Season of service (January-April).  Everybody has a chance to serve and be involved.  I encourage you to find an area that you can plug into.  We are also going to broaden our children’s ministry by dividing our younger kids and smaller kids on Sunday mornings.  Pray about being involved in the kids ministry or another ministry.  You can sign up online by following the link below

This upcoming Sunday we will be hosting another CLASS 101.  CLASS 101 last about 2 hours and explains who we are, where we are going, and how to become part of the Church.  It does not obligate you to be member of the church, but gives you the information you may need in pressing forward with that decision.  CLASS 101 meets at our Life Community Ministry Center, located at 3271 Alvey Park Dr. Suite H and will begin at 2:45.  If you are new to Life Community, been a regular visitor, or just curious about the church this is the class for you!

Also, mark your calendar for our Christmas Eve service.  Apollo Heights Baptist Church has graciously opened up their sanctuary for our use on Christmas Eve.  The service will be held at 5:30 that evening and will last 1 hour or less.  We will be prompt with the time due to family activities being held on Christmas Eve.  This will be a candle light service and The Lord’s Supper will be served.   (Life Groups will not meet the week of Christmas).

Have a great week!

God Bless
