Block Party!

Greetings LCC,

We are very thankful to have a team of volunteer missionaries to come and help Life Community.  The team got in last night, with the purpose of helping us out on reaching a neighborhood and helping us with our block party.  The team is from Cynthianna Kentucky and consists of 10 people (4 adults and 6 youth, one which is the Pastor).  This is their first mission trip they have taken as a church and they are very excited.    We will be handing out light bulbs in a neighborhood today and then working on the block party on Saturday.

I encourage LCC members to be very active in our Block Party.  The Block Party begins at 4 tomorrow (Saturday) at Heartland Park in the Heartland neighborhood.  We will begin setup around 2:30pm.  If you show up around 2:30 or 3:00 we will find you a place to serve.  A Buck Creek Baptist Sunday School Class will also be there to cook hot dogs.  Lots of folks are coming to serve us so we want to make sure we serve with them.

Also, the Mission Team will be canvassing the Heartlands on Saturday morning to remind people about the Block Party.  If you are interested in helping with that also we encourage you to do so.

Our Block Party is going to be great!  We will have an inflatable, food, games, balloon twisters, and more! We will also be pre-registering kids for Bible School.  I am hoping we can connect with lots of kids from the neighborhood on Saturday and in return get them involved in Vacation Bible School.

Also, say a prayer to the Lord asking him to hold off rain on Saturday.
