Greetings Life Community Church….

And Happy 3rd Birthday! Yesterday (Wednesday October 28th) our church officially turned 3 years old, which marked the completion of the third year of ministry since we launched with public weekly services. Since that time we have had three locations, 83 people saved, and we have officially chartered (becoming an autonomous church).   It was so amazing to be able to baptize 5 people on Sunday night, to take The Lords’ Supper, and to have a great fellowship. I would like to thank all of those who worked so hard to make it happen. Your service does not go unnoticed…we are grateful for you!

It’s been an amazing three years with many saved and God doing an amazing work. People often ask me how long we will stay at the community college; to answer honestly…. I don’t know. I believe that we have a pretty sweet spot over there that allows our church to have its services, we have areas for our kids, and room to grow. I also know the Logsdon center is a great place for our Sunday night program and the ministry center is getting the job done for administration and bible study groups. Here’s something else I know; a church is not a building, it’s a spiritual community of Christian believers who are gathered together to be on purpose for Christ. Because of this we listen to the spirits voice letting him lead us into what is right. Like a cloud of smoke by day and fire by night god will one day lead us to a facility of our own. Maybe someone will give us land, maybe we will find a warehouse to rent, maybe a church in need wants to partner with us, or maybe God will drop a building into our laps. And maybe we might not get any of that! But as long as God is leading and we are seeing people saved I’m content.

Connecting (to Christ) , caring (for people), changing (the world through missions)

Happy birthday life community.

  • Don’t forget that we will be hosting a booth at the Owensboro “Trail of Treats” tonight (October 29th). Setup will begin soon at 2pm and the booth will be open at 5:30. Minion themed!

  • Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes will be do the week of November 16th. Remember each box will need $7 in them and the tag for it being a boy or a girl. You can download that information the Operation Christmas Child website http://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/
  • Sunday Night Kids Life will be moved to 5pm starting this Sunday night. The preschool and elementary kids will be working on a music for a Christmas service. The Youth, which will also meet at 5pm will be doing their program.
  • We would also like to begin to enlist more volunteers and workers in our nursery program. As we are growing as a church I would like for us to begin staffing our nursery with three workers each Sunday. If you would be willing to serve and use your gifts in the nursery, follow this link http://lifecommunity.signappnow.com/sheet/E6M90Wodhk
