5/21/13 Update
Life Community Church,
My family and I would like to express our gratitude and thanks for all of the prayers and love that we received this week. As you know, our new little girl “Hope Elise Rager” was born into this world last Tuesday on May 14th @ 6:30 am. When Hope entered this world, she wasn’t feeling 100% and had to spend a little time in the Newborn ICU (aka NICU). The Nicu was a very interesting experience for me and Taran and God taught us a lot about hurting families and sick children.
I am very happy to report that Hope is feeling a lot better, after some amazing care and treatment from the nurses and doctors of the NICU, we brought Hope home today and we are now adjusting to having a “kid” to now having “kids”. Taran is feeling pretty good, exhuasted, but pretty good. We will be laying low and resting after spending one week in the Hospital, sleeping no more than 2 hours at a time. Again, thank you so much for the encouragement.
I trust that my good friend Jerry Tooley and Steve Rice blessed your hearts on Sunday morning. Bro. Jerry is part of our Pastoral Advisory Team and has been very active in the formation and devolpment of Life Community (behind the scenes). I personally am very grateful for his leadership and mentorship in my life. Steve always does a great job and will be with us a few more weeks as Taran is recovering. It will be some time before we can bring little Hope to Church, due to her immunity, but I assure you will see her in due time.
I am very excited about getting back in the pulpit and sharing what God taught me this week. I am reminded of His all sufficent Grace and love and how He sustains us. We serve a God who hears us when we pray, but most importantly a God who is a strong tower and refuge for those who are hurting. He is very present and He is very near. Draw comfort in the fact that our Jesus saves!
I look forward to seeing you all this upcoming Sunday. Always remember to invite new people with you every week as we pray that God grows His church and His Kingdom.
God Bless
Pastor Kenny
