Life Community Update: 10/6/14
Greetings Life Community,
Wanted to touch base with you this Monday of Fall Break. I know many are traveling this week so we pray for fun, safety, and return.
We are pressing forward in our fall spiritual growth campaign. We are currently in Week 3 of the campaign (Connection Week). As I preached yesterday, it’s very important that we build relationships and friendships with others in our church. This week Life Groups will be doing an outing (some are bowling and some are going out to eat). If you have not yet joined a Life Group I would encourage you to be involved in one. It’s a great way to connect with people and to study God’s Word. If you aren’t in one and would like to be placed in one best for you, just shoot me an email and let me know.
A Few updates:
Class 101 is this upcoming Sunday. If are you are considering being a part of our church or our curious about our church I invite you to attend this upcoming Sunday @ 2:45 @ The ministry center (3271 Alvey Park Dr. Suite H 42303)
Baby Shower for Kerri Booker and Nathan this Sunday @ October 12th @ The Logsdon Center @ 2:30. They are expecting a Baby Boy “Wyatt” in November
New Youth Ministry Location next Sunday. We want to invest into our teenagers so we are going to secure the Logsdon Center on Sunday nights for our youth (grades 6-12) on Sunday nights. The youth will be meeting at 6:30 but doors opening up @ 6:15, so parents of both youth and kids can drop their teens off at the Logsdon Center and then take their kids to the ministry center for Kids Life.
The Daviess Mclean Baptist Association is expected to admit Life Community into the Baptist association on October 20th. The annual meeting will be held at Buck Creek Baptist on that evening.
Life Community will also be participating in the “Trail of Treats” (An Owensboro city community event the night before Halloween). We will need to collect over 5,000 pieces of candy for the event. So please bring in lots of bags of individual wrapped candy. This is a great way for our church to be involved in the community and to show the love of Christ.
I am very happy that we have formally formed our ministry teams of the church. I would like all those who will be serving on Ministry Teams to meet together on Sunday afternoon October 19th @ 2:45. I will be doing a training and explanation for all of our teams. So please try to attend if at all possible. I will announce the location of this next Sunday.
Also we have an updated copy of the schedule of serving on our website. If you are part of the scheduled serving, please make sure you go online and download that copy and it replace it.

Remember to keep praying for your church and asking God to do a great work at Life Community. I hope you get involved in a Life Group as they are so important to connecting with each other and to Christ.
