Weekly Update: 9/9/13

Wanted to take a few moments to update you about this very important week.
This is the week, prior, to the launching of our new spiritual growth campaign entitled “WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?”
As you know, this campaign is intended to reach out and meet the felt needs of our congregation, our loved ones, and our neighborhood. We are hoping that people truly understand that they matter to God and that God has a great plan for their life.
As we prepare for this monumental moment in our church history, I encourage you to reflect on what God has already done for you. Then begin to praise him for his goodness while asking Him to reveal himself to others.
This Thursday evening, at Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, @ 6:30, we will be having our prayer service. Even though it will be held at Eaton Memorial, the prayer service is for our church (we are just using their building). We will be asking God to move in the lives of our people and our neighborhood.
In addition to the prayer service, we hope you can make out on Saturday, from 10am-2pm, at Walgreens on Hwy 54. We will be grilling hamburgers for the community for free. As we launch this great campaign for spiritual growth we also want to be community minded and to love our neighbors. I believe this will be a really fun time!
I also want you to know I’m praying for you as you invite and encourage people to come to church with you this Sunday. I know God will use your testimony and your witness in a great way. I am believing that we can break the goal of 200 this Sunday morning.
As we pray for the campaign, as we pray for prayer request to be answered, as we study God’s word together, as we hear the preaching of God’s Word, I know and believe He is going to do great things!
