LCC Update: 9/4/13
Greetings LCC, Hope everyone had a great day Labor Day weekend and hopefully you were able to spend some time with your family. My family and I enjoyed seeing relatives and enjoyed each other. Always make time for family…you only get one chance.
Quick Update: Our Next 101 CLASS will be this Sunday @ 2:45. We encourage you to come. If you are planning on attending please shoot me an email and let me know.
Derek Landolts Grandmother (who lives in Missouri) passed away over the weekend. Please keep Derek and Lanessa in your prayers as they are traveling today.
Our campaign will be launching in two weeks! I hope you are praying and anticipating great things as we embark on this adventure. As we begin the study “WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?” I believe you will be challenged and encouraged by this study. We will be preaching on important topics, that you will read about daily, and then discuss weekly (in Life Groups). It’s important to be plugged into a life group in this study.
Also, make sure to mark you calendars for two events that will lead up to the campaign. Our Church wide prayer service will be held on Sept. 12th (Held at Eaton Memorial Baptist) @ 6:30. I’m encouraging all of our LCC folks to try to make it out that night. We are praying that the campaign will be more than just a bible study and sermons, we are praying that souls will be saved and we will draw closer to God! That will only happen as we humbly cry out to Him for His Touch. So please try to make it out to the prayer service.
We will also be doing community outreach on the 14th (the day before the big kick off). It looks like we will be grilling hamburgers in front of the Walgreens on Hwy 54. We will probably begin a little before lunch time. We will be giving away free hamburgers to whoever would like some (we will accept no donations, it’s all about the love of God). We will also be inviting people to the campaign as we do this.
Also be in prayer about who you will be inviting to the launch day on September 15th. We encouraged you to begin praying and thinking about 3 people that you will invite. I challenge you to begin praying for those three people and to personally encourage them to come. As we invite those three people it will help us break out goal of 200 in the service and 80 in Life Groups.
It is a pleasure to be your Pastor! Let’s keep praying that God does an amazing work in our community and neighborhoods. Pastor Kenny
ps Don’t forget to email Eric Morris your response to his questions. We will use these during the campaign and I know they will be touching.
