LCC Update: 8/20/13
Greetings LCC, Last Sunday was a great day! We were so happy to be able to Baptize Leroy Moore in his pond at his home. Leroy and Carole are two of our newest members at Life Community and I am so glad we had the chance to baptize him. We also welcomed into the church family, Amber and Cory Williams, and Patsy Joyce who united with our church on Sunday morning. In addition to this we had 9 people attend 201 and make the Maturity Covenant Commitment We are constantly praising God for families and lives being changed.
Last Sunday also introduced our new Kids Ministry “KIDS LIFE”, which began last Sunday Night. Kids Life is a program just for children! We have a preschool class, a big kids class 1st-5th grade (which are currently doing the TEAM KID program), and youth group for ages 6th-12th grade. We had 26 kids on our first night! We praise God for this! We encourage you to bring your kids so they can learn and hear about the Gospel on their level. Every Sunday Evening @ 6:30 @ The Logsdon Center, 2400 Friendship Dr.
Also, don’t forget that Sunday Morning Kids Church will now be for ages nursery-2nd Grade; since we now have a kids ministry for all ages on Sunday Nights. A Few updates CLASS 301- This upcoming Sunday @ 1:30 we will be offering CLASS 301. If you have completed CLASS 101 and 201, we encourage you to take this next step by attending CLASS 301 (all about discovering your ministry). Season of Serving- Have you signed up yet for a place to serve in our upcoming season of serving? Our next season will last from September-December. There are many areas to serve in, and we encourage you to be involved. We believe that your gifts could be used in a great way to serve God and to serve others.
“WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?” (Fall Spiritual Growth Campaign)
By now you have probably heard several announcements and read several emails about our upcoming Fall Spiritual Growth Campaign. This campaign is going to be monumental for the Life of LCC. The campaign is all about discovering your life purpose and calling, and answering that big question “WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR?” During the campaign there will be six specific sermons on Sunday mornings that deal with that big question. Throughout the week you will also be reading a small chapter from the book “What on Earth am I Here for?” and then coming together in Life Groups to discuss it. Some have asked me if it’s necessary to have gone through 101 before joining a Life Group. Not at all! Obviously we would like for all to go through CLASS 101, but everyone is welcome to be part of a Life Group. We will be offering Life Groups on Monday Nights, Tuesday Nights, Wednesday Nights, Thursday Nights, and on Sunday Nights. There is a place for you and we hope you can be involved.
In addition to the campaign itself. There will be lots of activities leading us to it and preparing us for it. One of those activities is our Prayer Service which will be held on September 12th and grilling for the community on September 14th. We want to do our part to prepare for what God has for us. I really pray that you will be part of this monumental event at Life Community Church What on Earth am I here For, God Goals Over 200 on launch Sunday, September 15th (currently averaging 100 on Sundays) 80 adults in Life Groups (have averaged about 30 in Life Groups) 200 Active, Saved, and Baptized members of LCC (currently 81 on Church Role) Let’s pray for Life Change!
I hope to see you Sunday!
God Bless
