LCC Update: 8/12/13

This morning I’m reflecting on a great day we had at LCC yesterday.  Very thankful for The Moore Family, Leroy and Carol, as Leroy came forward to profess his faith and Carol desired to join the church.  After the service, we were blessed to be able to baptize Brenda Weatley.  The afternoon concluded with a great 101 class, we had 12 people attend!  This was one of our largest 101’s that we have had in a while.

God is truly moving in a great way in our Church.  I am eagerly anticipating God to continue to bless our community in the upcoming weeks through KIDS LIFE and WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE

KIDS LIFE begins next week, August 18th @ 6:30 @ The Logsdon Center.  KIDS LIFE will have programs for both the preschool kids and grade school kids.  The Grade School kids will be studying The Team Kid material, and it’s great stuff, think a “weekly” vbs style program.  The little ones will be taught by my wife and Mrs. Tonya Hall.

WHAT ON EARTH AM I HERE FOR, is a spiritual growth campaign that our entire church is progressing forward with.  It’s a 40 DAY spiritual journey, where each week you will here a topic in the sunday morning service, study it in your life group, and read about it daily in your book.  The campaign helps us to look forward and pray for God to do great things in our midst.  We are praying for spiritual breakthrough and we are praying for goals to be broken in our church.

Our Goals
200 on Launch Day September 15th (when the campaign begins)
80 Adults in Life Groups
Salvations and Baptism throughout the six weeks
200 Committed Active members in our church

These are all God-sized goals, goals that we can’t do on our own, but through prayer and fasting God can!  Continue to keep the campaign on your hearts and be willing to participate as we press forward.  It’s all about discovering what God has for your life.

201 and 301 is coming.  If you have completed 101 I highly encourage you to participate in 201 next weekend at the Logsdon.  201 deals with Spiritual maturity and is all about spiritual growth and development.  Make plans to attend 201 if you can.  The week after, we will be hosting our first 301.  301 will take place at 1:15 and we will have lunch provided for 301.  301 is all about discovering your ministry.  I’m excited to be able to teach the first 301.

Speaking of ministry…have you signed up for our next Season of Serving?  Our next Season begins in September and will last until December.  Areas of service include:

• Guest Services Table
• Kids Check in
• Nursery
• Kids Church
• Greeters
• Ushers
• CLASS 101 helpers
• E-Teams (Monday night visitation)
• Sound and Media

Never forget that every member is 10 in some area!  God has a plan for you and will use you to reach more people for the Kingdom!
