9/16/15 Weekly Update
Greetings Life Community!
What an amazing day we had on Sunday! God has already begun moving in a powerful way! We are thankful for the Four professions of faith on Sunday and the rededication. We are planning, Lord willing, on baptizing 7 people on the opening day of our campaign!!!!! How good is our God!!!!
Our Church wants to express its sympathy to the family of Amanda and Michael Funk, as Amanda’s grandmother, Pinnie Harper, passed away yesterday (Tuesday). Arrangements are planned at the for the Tuckers Funeral Home in Sacramento. Visitation will be tonight at 6pm for the public and the service will be held tomorrow at 2pm. Let’s keep Amanda and her family in our prayers.
Campaign News! (Please take time to read through this as it’s very important to our the life of our church)

We are getting very class to the launch of our Fall Growth Campaign, this Sunday September 20th. This Campaign is intended to unit our church in fellowship, disciple us in the word, challenge us to evangelize those that do not know The Lord, lift our hearts in Worship, and to Minister with our resources and gifts.
It’s going to be great! I encourage you to bring people with you that are unchurched. Reach out into your fishing pond, start praying for them, ask God to give you the boldness to make “the ask”, and trust that God is going to do something. We are aiming for 300 people in the service, but it will take ALL of us bringing someone with us as our special guest. So if you’re reading this, that means you! 😉
Make sure you are in a group, as groups are an important and critical part of the campaign. You can read more about the campaign and sign up for a group on our website
http://lifeowensboro.com/life-groups/movement/
We also are desiring to have people to pray throughout the campaign daily and also to have people praying throughout the night before the campaign starts. You can sign up for a prayer time by following this link:

To begin ministering to the community, we will be doing a FREE hamburger cook at Booker’s Garage (on Parrish Ave, right in front of K-Mart and opposite to Moonlite). All hamburgers will be free of charge to whoever comes and gets one. Just a great way to kick off loving the community. It will be begin at 11am. Come out and help serve! Lots of fun!
Life Groups will also be assembling “Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes” for the duration of the campaign. This will be an incredible ministry opportunity for us as we will send these shoeboxes to children all across the world, who are living in poverty, to encourage them.
I believe God is already moving in a powerful way and I believe He is going to keep moving! Let’s keep asking The Lord to do a great work.
God Bless
