What is “Night of Light” 9/26/17

You may have heard a little bit about “NIGHT OF LIGHT” on the announcements on Sunday mornings, but may still be wondering what exactly is it and why are we doing it?

This upcoming Sunday Night (at 5 pm) our church will be hosting a special worship service called “NIGHT OF LIGHT”.  The worship service will have multi-purposes and will be very important for the life of our church.  Let me explain briefly what it is:

It’s campaign connected-  Every year our church does an annual “Fall Growth Campaign”.  Our campaigns are a time of spiritual awakening and revival.  They begin with a high attendance day and last around 40 days.  During this 40 Day journey, all life groups will be doing the same material and they will all connect to the sermons on Sunday morning.  In addition to this, there will be outreach projects and fellowship events that are all themed around the 40 Day journey.  It is intended to unite us together as a church and keep us focused  During the worship service you will hear the full vision for the fall growth campaign.

The “Night of Light” builds off of the campaign theme-  You will learn more about the theme of our fall growth campaign.  This year the study will be 40 Days in the Word by Rick Warren.  Each group will be learning Bible study methods and how the Word of God is applicable to their lives.  The theme “God’s Light” builds off of a bible verse that will be introduced to you Sunday night.

There will be a time of dedication for bibles-  Since the campaign is themed around “God’s Word” we will be dedicating Bibles.  Over the last few weeks, we have been pre-ordering Bibles.  The purpose of these pre-ordered Bibles will be for you to give to your friends and family to invite them to the campaign.  What better way to invite people to the high attendance day than with these Bibles.  During this worship service, we will dedicate these Bibles to those we are giving them to.

There will be praise and worship-  We will be singing to The Lord and experiencing a night of heartfelt praise.  We are always encouraged when we get to worship God!

The campaign will officially begin on October 22nd with our High Attendance day…..so we are several weeks out, but this special worship service will introduce us to the campaign, prepare us for the campaign, and will dedicate the campaign to God.
