LCC UPDATE: Nov. 16th 2017

Off

Life Community Church,

I hope this update finds each of you doing well.  Below you will find some crucial information regarding our church.  Take a few moments to read through all the bullet points below and know what is coming up.

*Campaign outreaches–  As part of the “40 Days in the word” campaign we are encouraging the church to come on Nov 18th to hand out bibles to veterans in the nursing home (as a way to say thank you to them and also to our veterans here at Life Community).  On Nov. 24th people will gather to hand out bibles to black Friday shoppers, and if you would like to donate towards helping children’s bibles get to the neighborhood you can do so before Nov. 26

*Out campaign celebration dinner will be held on Saturday night December 2nd.  The dinner is going to be a grand celebration to conclude 40 Days in the Word!  We will be having a “biblically-themed” meal.  Please make plans to attend.

*On December 3rd we will be having our “NIGHT OF VISION.”  The NIGHT OF VISION will be a significant night for our church.  We will be gathering in the old auditorium in the older section of the building.  We will worship God and hear from God’s Word as we lay out the plans and the vision for the auditorium.  We have had to contribute so much of our savings into the maintenance of the building (i.e., parking lot, electrical panels, awnings, our air conditioning units, and utilizing our emergency fund to place a down payment on a boiler).  Because of this, we are going to have to pursue the route of obtaining a loan to refurbish the building and pay for the rest of the boiler, but God’s grace we know He will provide!  This night of vision will excite us for the potential of using the old auditorium as a NEW WORSHIP space and freeing our gymnasium up for outreach.  The “Night of Vision” will be more than just plans for the auditorium, a vision for the next five years of ministry will be laid out for our church.  Make sure you plan on being there.

*Our Christmas offering is coming!  We have set the highest goal in our history!  A total of $10,000!  Last year we brought in over 7,000 for missions and our church council believes we can do even more.  We will be dividing this special offering up into four ways; to sunrise children’s services, to a local habitat house, to the North American Mission Board, and to the International Mission Board.  100% of this offering will leave LCC and go to help people.  I want to challenge you to match your most expensive gift you are giving this year for missions.  We will lay our mission offerings in the manger during our Christmas Eve service.

We are so thankful for our church family, and we pray that God continues to help us be a “Connecting, Caring, and Changing” kind of church. Connecting to Jesus, Caring for People, and Changing the World through missions!
